Less than
Significant
Potentially With Less Than
Significant Mitigation Significant No
9. LAND USE/PLANNING. Would the project: Impact Incorporated Impact Impact
(a) Physically divide an established community? ❑ 0 0
(b) Conflict with any applicable land use plan, policy,or regulation of an
agency with jurisdiction over the project(including, but not limited to the
El
general plan,specific plan,local coastal program,or zoning ordinance)
adopted for the purpose of avoiding or mitigating an environmental effect?
(c) Conflict with any applicable habitat conservation plan or natural community
conservation plan?
Impact Analysis:
a-c) The Project Site is located along Redwood Creek Channel surrounded by wharves,water-dependent
land uses, and industrial lands. The surrounding area is industrial. The Project Site is zoned General
Industrial, designated by the City of Redwood City for Manufacturing,Processing and Shipping. Boat
berthing and launching is already provided for non-public use at the Multi-Agency Maritime Facility
and would continue to be used for such purposes. The Project would not introduce new uses in an areas
not designated for such uses. Maritime uses would continue.
The Project would be consistent with local plans, policies, and code requirements as they relate to
environmental effects.Environmental plans and policies directly address environmental issues and/or
contain targets or standards that must be met in order to preserve or improve characteristics of the Port
of Redwood City's physical environment. The Project would not obviously or substantially conflict with
any such adopted environmental plans or policies.
Reference
City of Redwood City, Strategic General Plan, Conservation Element,January 22, 1990,as amended.
Port of Redwood City Multi-Agency Maritime Facility 33 February 2010
Initial Study
