6.3G
Page 19
Although Mid-Pen houses special needs tenants in many of our 85 properties, we have
recently made amission-driven policy commitment to increase our focus on supportive
housing, and are investing in infrastructure across the organization to enhance this
capacity. In 2009, the Mid-Pen Board adopted a Supportive Housing Program to guide
our future supportive housing efforts with a focus on structuring such projects to
ensure their long-term financial and physical sustainability.
In addition, in order to ensure than Mid-Pen staff across all departments are trained in
best practices in supportive housing, Mid-Pen brought in the Community Housing
Partnership to conduct workshops on supportive housing organized by functional area.
These trainings have improved coordination among development, property
management, and services staff as we implement supportive housing projects. They have
also increased the Services Corporation's ability to assess and monitor outside service
partners.
7. Bidder charges a reasonable management fee that leaves sufficient
resources available for building reserves and resident services.
MidPen Management charges a $60.00 per unit management fee and a $9.50
per unit bookkeeping flee. A preliminary bud_ eq t for the property is attached in
Sec#ion 4 -showing that there are adequate resources available for reserves and
resident services.
13
