MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> September 16, 1996 <br /> MO. 96-212 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: September 19, 1996 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Retirement of Georgi La Berge from the San Mateo Community <br /> College District (207) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on September 16, 1996. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan,Claire, Howard, La Barge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Harmett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> A. Proclamation Upon the Retirement of Redwood City Council Member Georgi La <br /> Berge from the San Mateo Community College District after twenty <br /> distinguished years in the field of communications and public information; (207) <br /> <br /> Councilwoman La Berge said she had truly enjoyed her career with the District, <br /> especially watching the impact of a community college experience on the lives of <br /> people who had never dreamed of being able to attend college. She said it been a <br /> great privilege to work with Councilman Claire and former Councilman <br /> Greenaich for the San Mateo County Community College District as well as on- <br /> the Council. Councilwoman La Berge advised she was now working part time as <br /> a consultant for the District on a special project, the 75th Anniversary celebration <br /> of the College of San Marco and invited anyone who had attended the College to <br /> contact her for fttrther information on upcoming events. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
