e A . <br />Medical Support <br />As mentioned above, an ambulance will accomparry the men and women's races. In <br />addition, there will be a medical/first aid tent located near main start/finish at the <br />intersection of Broadway and Hamilton. The ambulances will only be used in the case of <br />severe injuries. Typically, riders who fall will ride the duration of the race and will seek <br />treatment after the finish. <br />Communications <br />Each vehicle in th.- race caravan will have a multi- channel radio issued by the Sea Otter <br />Classic. Key meaical and public safety personnel will also be issued radios to provide <br />communication between public safety and race personnel. We will supply radios and at <br />least one repeater in order to ensure adequate radio coverage. <br />Requested Public Support <br />The following pre -event services are requested from the City of Redwood City: <br />Pot hole patching — Patch potholes and cracks that the Race Director identifies as <br />being hazardous. <br />Resident Notification — Mail an event notification flyer to residents, business and <br />schools along the race route(s). <br />Volunteer Recruitment — Assist the Sea Otter Classic Volunteer Coordinators by <br />identifying local service groups that may be able to provide volunteer assistance. <br />No Parking Signs — Post no parking signs along the course in required sections <br />Assistance in obtaining City and County permits. <br />The following event -day services are requested from the City of Redwood City: <br />Sixteen motorcycle officers to escort/create the rolling enclosure for the two <br />fields. <br />One marked police car at all intersections along the race route that are controlled <br />by traffic signals. <br />EMT and ambulance support. We also recommend a first aid station near <br />start/finish and one first aid station along the course. <br />Provide traffic barricades and no parking signage. <br />Provide, and service, trash and recycling containers in and around start /finish. <br />Provide and maintain ports johns near start/finish and at a few locations along the <br />circuit. <br />
