In addition, there will be a medical/first aid tent located near main start/finish at the intersection of Broadway and Hamilton. The ambulances will only be used in the case of severe injuries. Typically, riders who fall will ride the duration of the race and will seek treatment after the finish. Communications Each vehicle in th.- race caravan will have a multi- channel radio issued by the Sea Otter Classic. Key meaical and public safety personnel will also be issued radios to provide communication between public safety and race personnel. We will supply radios and at least one repeater in order to ensure adequate radio coverage. Requested Public Support The following pre -event services are requested from the City of Redwood City: Pot hole patching — Patch potholes and cracks that the Race Director identifies as being hazardous. Resident Notification — Mail an event notification flyer to residents, business and schools along the race route(s). Volunteer Recruitment — Assist the Sea Otter Classic Volunteer Coordinators by identifying local service groups that may be able to provide volunteer assistance. No Parking Signs — Post no parking signs along the course in required sections Assistance in obtaining City and County permits. The following event -day services are requested from the City of Redwood City: Sixteen motorcycle officers to escort/create the rolling enclosure for the two fields.
