10. A. Legislation ( informatiob only) - This sub - section involves possible <br />discussion of City Position on Proposed Legislation Described in the League of <br />California Cities Priority Focus Bulletins No. 44 -2002 and No. 45 -2002. Council may <br />direct staff to act on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus available in City Clerk's Department). <br />C. City Manager Everett — stated the need to schedule a Special Meeting of the City <br />Council for either January 8 or 9. He stated that staff feels action should be taken <br />to consider the possibility of committing funds to cover the Retail /Cinema project <br />and protect against any restrictions that may come after action from the State. The <br />meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, January 8 at 5:00 p.m. <br />D. Council Member Howard — stated that there will be a meeting of the Housing and <br />Transportation Subcommittee of the San Mateo /Redwood City Chamber of <br />Commerce on Thursday, January 9 at noon. She invited anyone interested to <br />attend and stated there will be representatives from the Water Transit Authority to <br />provide an update on providing ferry transit service in the area.
