Zoning Text Amendment for the Central Business Retail (CBR) Zoning District. <br />(602) Minute Order 10-101 <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Introduce an Ordinance to amending Article 26 of the Redwood City Zoning Code <br />to allow for ground floor office uses as permitted uses in the CBR Zoning District. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING ARTICLE 26 <br />OF THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING CODE TO ALLOW FOR GROUND FLOOR <br />OFFICE USES AS PERMITTED USES IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS RETAIL <br />(CBR) ZONING DISTRICT <br /> <br />Ms. Jill Ekas,. Planning, Housing & Economic Development Director, presented the report <br />(on file) which covered the notification and outreach done to date. She also provided some <br />background information on the matter. Ms. Ekas explained certain details included in the <br />ordinance and elaborated on its positive long term impact. She asked Council if they had <br />any additional changes or alterations. <br /> <br />Council Discussion: <br />Vice Mayor Aguirre asked if a certain list was transposed from the past and Ms. Ekas said <br />that in the Downtown Precise Plan the new terminology will be used. One Council Member <br />asked about unintended consequences and Ms. Ekas explained these have been taken <br />into consideration. <br /> <br />Mayor Ira opened the Public Hearing <br /> <br />Public Comment: <br />Ralph Garcia share some concerns with Main Street and he apologized for coming in so <br />late in the process. <br /> <br />Nita Spangler commented on the downtown parking and she had some comments about <br />tonight's meeting proceedings.
