<br />Jim Bigelow agreed with the prior speaker and he too wants to get the facts. <br /> <br />Marianna Raymond remarked that it felt to her that she was being bullied tonight and she <br />found this immature. She opined there was defensiveness in the current proceedings and <br />she wants the visioning process that was promised to move forward. <br /> <br />Carole Wong thanked Council for the Cringle Stop Sign and she believes the owners has <br />the constitutional right to due process and spend their money the way they want. <br /> <br />Diane Cusimano, owner of Tequila Lounge, strongly encouraged the Council to move <br />forward with the environmental process. She said that when outsiders influence the <br />decisions of Redwood City, Council could make the wrong decision. She stated that we, <br />as a City, needed to learn via facts and knowledge. <br /> <br />Karin Tuxen-Bettman said she wanted residents to view the historical imagery of tidal <br />marshes she further stressed that the salt ponds need to be restored back to tidal <br />marshes. The clip can be viewed at http://www.virtualsaltworks.orol. <br /> <br />Cynthia Denny stated that the DMV declared this project will help green gases from cars, <br />but failed to mention the amount of carbon emissions from the 12,000 homes that are to be <br />built. <br /> <br />Corrine Troubridge wants to encourage the Council to move forward and continue with the <br />study. <br /> <br />John Hedblom wants to keep an open mind but he finds that this study is already flawed. <br />He believes it to be a waste of city resources. <br /> <br />Doug Karlson requests that Council move forward with the Environmental Impact Report <br />study. <br /> <br />Diana Reddy, Housing Leadership Council, commented that an Environmental Impact <br />Report is needed even if restoration is the key. She is a supporter of affordable housing. <br /> <br />Gail Sredanovic asked Council to work with the United States Geological Survey and <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency and she asked Council to avoid lawsuits and pull <br />back from the precipice. She asked Council not to waste time and money. <br /> <br />Heidi Sjoland, a third generation Redwood City resident, finds the Saltworks plan has <br />various wonderful opportunities for the children. <br /> <br />Patricia Garcia, a business owner, thanked the Mayor and Council for looking out for the <br />business owners.
