7/23/01 <br />o r i g i n a l <br />RESOLUTION NO. 42an <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE THERMOPLASTIC <br />STREET MARKINGS AND STREET SIGNS SERVICE <br />PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14213, adopted May 7, 2001, the <br />City Clerk advertised for bids for the Thermoplastic Street Markings and Street <br />Signs Service Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Chrisp Company of Fremont, California, is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to Chrisp Company; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Chrisp Company in the amount Thirty -six Thousand Seven <br />Hundred Eighty and 60/100 Dollars ($36,780.60), computed in accordance with <br />bidder's proposal dated July 11, 2001, for the Thermoplastic Street Markings <br />and Street Signs Service Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />Reso -1206 1 <br />F: /shlsh /Redwood /Council <br />DES:rg <br />07/12/01 <br />
