<br />of grout under baseplates and adequate anchorage into structural concrete unless <br />otherwise shown or specified. <br /> <br />B. Provide anchor and assembly bolts and nuts of ample size and strength for the <br />purpose intended. All bolts shall be standard machine bolts, with cold pressed <br />hexagon nuts. Provide suitable degauling compounds for bronze and stainless <br />steel threaded components. Unless otherwise specified or noted on the Drawings, <br />provide materials as follows: <br />1. Type 316 stainless steel. <br />2. Use other bolting materials only where specifically called for in the <br />Specifications or on the Drawings. <br /> <br />C. Anchor all motor-driven equipment with cast-in-place anchor bolts or drilled-in <br />anchors set with epoxy adhesive. Do not provide expansion type anchors for motor- <br />driven equipment. <br /> <br />D. Anchor all non-motor-driven equipment with cast-in-place anchor bolts or drilled-in <br />anchors set with epoxy adhesive except that, where specifically allowed by note on <br />the Drawing, expansion type anchors may be used. <br /> <br />2.07 SAFETY GUARDS <br /> <br />A. Cover belt or chain drives, fan blades, couplings, nip points, exposed shafts, and <br />other moving or rotating parts on all sides with safety guards conforming to all <br />Federal, State, and local codes and regulations pertaining; conform to the most <br />restrictive requirement. Design guards for easy installation and removal, complete <br />with necessary supports, accessories, and fasteners, all hot-dip galvanized. <br />Provide tachometer test opening in line with ends of shafts. Typically guards shall <br />be expanded metal on a structural steel frame. Provide hinged doors with latch for <br />service and lubrication access. <br /> <br />B. Cover all pipes, manifolds, heaters, and other surfaces which have a surface <br />temperature sufficient to burn human tissue with a thermal insulating material, or <br />otherwise guard against contact. <br /> <br />C. Guards to comply with CAL/OSHA Standards. <br /> <br />2.08 LIFTING EYES <br /> <br />A. Supply all equipment weighing over 100 pounds with lifting eyes. Parts of <br />equipment assemblies which are normally serviced separately, such as motors, are <br />to have lifting eyes of their own. <br /> <br />2.09 DRIVES <br /> <br />A. General: Provide all drive units with an AGMA rating and service factor suitable for <br />24 hours per day operation under the operating load. <br /> <br />B.
