7Jr 1-;� <br />NOTICE OF BID AND BID DATE <br />OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WILL BE ACCEPTING BIDS FROM NEWSPAPERS OF <br />GENERAL CIRCULATION (CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE 6000 or 6008) IN THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DESIGNATING AN "OFF!CIAL <br />NEWSPAPER" ACCORDING TO SECTION 90 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY. THE NEWSPAPER TO WHICH SUCH CONTRACT IS AWARDED <br />SHALL BE KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS THE "OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER." THE RATES <br />FOR PUBLISHING PUBLIC NOTICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE CUSTOMARY RATES <br />CHARGED FOR PUBLISHING LEGAL NOTICES OF A PRIVATE CHARACTER. <br />CONTRACTS FOR ADVERTISING SHALL BE AWARDED TO THE LOWEST <br />RESPONSIBLE BIDDER. IF THERE ARE TWO OR MORE LOWEST BIDS FOR <br />ADVERTISING, THE COUNCIL SHALL AWARD THE CONTRACT TO THE NEWSPAPER <br />HAVING THE LARGEST PAID CIRCULATION. <br />Please submit your bids for provision of the following services to the City of Redwood City as <br />its official newspaper: <br />Please provide rates per column inch for notices of public hearings, display ads for <br />committee recruitments, bids and other legal matters.
