A copy of the court's decree, No. 425263, is attached. <br />Earlier this year, the Daily News bid for the city's legal notices contract. We learned <br />after we bid that the city would only award the contract to a newspaper that is <br />adjudicated for the City of Redwood City. At the time, the Daily News was only <br />adjudicated for the Countv of San Mateo. <br />The Daily News then applied with the court for adjudication for the Cit of Redwood <br />City. Evidence was submitted to the court and a hearing was held on Oct. 9, 2002. San <br />Mateo County Superior Court Judge George A. Miram granted the petition. <br />We hope that this clears the way for the Daily News to compete for the city's legal <br />advertising contract. Please inform me if any other barriers exist that would prevent us <br />from bidding.
