CODE: Means the Municipal Code of the City of Redwood City. FIRE CODE: Means the Uniform Fire Code, 1997 Edition, including Appendices I, II, III, IV, V, VI-A, VI-B, VI-C,, VI-E, VI-F, VI-G, VI-H, and VI-I. MUNICIPALITY: Means the City of Redwood City. Section 12.9.1. Section 101.2 amended. Section 101.2 of the Fire Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 101.2. Scope. This Code prescribes regulations consistent with nationally recognized good practice for the safeguarding to a reasonable degree of life and property from the hazards of fire, explosion, and dangerous conditions arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the use or occupancy of buildings or premises and provisions to assist emergency response personnel. The provisions of this Code shall supplement any and all laws of the State of California relating to fire safety and shall apply to all persons, firms, corporations or entity without restriction, unless specifically excepted. The provisions of this Code do not apply to off-site transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with Department of Transportation requirements. Section 12.9.2. Section 101.6 amended.
