Section 20.190 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Sec. 20.190. PAYMENT OF FINE TO AVOID PROSECUTION: <br /> <br /> Any operator or owner of a vehicle to whom a citation has been issued in <br />accordance with the preceding section may, within fifteen (15) days of the time of <br />the issuance of such citation, pay to the appropriate court, as a penalty for and <br />full consideration of such violation, the sum of fifteen dollars ($15.00) plus <br />applicable surcharges established by resolution. The mailing, in a sealed <br />envelope properly addressed through the United States mail, of a check, money <br />order or postal order, within fifteen (15) days from the time of issuance of the <br />citation, or notice of such violation, or the deposit with the court of the sum of <br />fifteen dollars ($15.00), plus applicable surcharges, within fifteen (15) days <br />constitutes compliance with this provision. Delivery of such envelope shall be the <br />responsibility of such owner or operator. The failure of such owner or operator to <br />make such payment within the fifteen (15) days shall render such owner or <br />operator subject to the penalties provided for violation of the provisions of this <br />Division." <br /> <br /> Section 29.
