ZENONI <br />Finance and Administration Manager <br />Enclosed with this letter is a certified copy of Resolution 03 -001, adopted on January 9, 2003, by the Board <br />of Directors of the Alameda County Water District. <br />The resolution is the "resolution of intention" described in Water Code Section 81315, added by AB 2058. <br />Its adoption and distribution to all of the public agencies eligible to become members of the Bay Area Water <br />Supply and Conservation Agency (B.AWSCA) completes the initial step towards the formation of that new <br />organization. <br />A 2058 also requires that the governing boards of each of the other 25 eligible public agencies adopt a <br />reso u ton on or before March 10, 2003, fixing the time and piace fora pub lic hearing on the question of <br />whether to join BA W SCA (of course, yo n a opt this first resolution earlier than March 10; that date is <br />simply the absolute d6adline established by the new law). Art Jensen, BAWUA General Manager, has <br />previously provided a sample resolution for this purpose. if you would like another copy, please contact <br />BAWUA at 650/349 -3000 or ajensen @bawua.org. <br />As provided in Resolution 03 -001, AC WD's Board of Directors will hold its own public hearing on Thursday, <br />February 13, 2003.
