QAZ <br />HOUSING OPPORTUNITY TASK FORCE PLANS LEGISLATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS <br />The League's Housing Opportunity Task Force met three times during December and January, and <br />is making significant progress in identifying the unifying principles and legislative approaches to expand- <br />ing housing production in California. <br />The recently created task force was charged by the League Board of Directors with developing a <br />package of legislative recommendations that balance state and local interests in helping meet our <br />growing housing needs as a state. The League Board identified increasing housing production as one <br />of its three key priorities for 2003. <br />The task force is chaired by Salinas Mayor Anna Caballero. Mayor Alan Autry of Fresno serves as <br />Vice Chair.
