7.STAFF REPORT <br />A.Proposed Redwood City Ordinance Change –Library Board. <br />Staff contact: Dave Genesy, Library Director 780-7060 dgenesy@redwoodcity.org <br />Recommendation: <br />Introduce an Ordinance repealing Chapter 16, Sections 16.1 through 16.5 of the <br />Redwood City Municipal Code and adding a new Chapter 16, Sections 16.1 <br />through 16.9 to reflect the Library Board’s roles and responsibilities in light of new <br />Charter language approved by voters on November 3, 2009. <br />REPEALING CURRENT CHAPTER 16 AND ADDING A NEW CHAPTER 16 TO <br />THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE <br />LIBRARY BOARD <br />8.MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST-none <br />9.ADJOURNMENT: <br />Motion to adjourn to Closed session: Follow up on Conference <br />with Labor Negotiators(see attached agenda). <br />The next JointCity Council/Redevelopment Agency Board meeting is scheduled for <br />August 23, 2010. <br />City Council agenda materials, released less than 72 hours prior to the meeting, are <br />available to the public at the City Clerk’s Office, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA <br />94063 and are available in the rear of the Council Chambers on the night of the meeting. <br />: <br />Alternate Agenda FormatsThe City Council will provide materials in appropriate <br />alternative formatsto comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
