The City <br />Council may also take actions to reduce the amount of the special tax. <br /> <br />Under the Law, the City Council may either conclude the public hearing on the <br />date set forth above or may continue the public hearing to a later date if the complexity <br />of the proposed district or the need for public participation requires additional time. If <br />the City Council determines to submit for a vote the questions of levying a special tax <br />within and authorizing bonded indebtedness for the District, an election will be held for <br />the District to approve the levy of the special tax and the issuance of bonds. At the <br />election for the District, each landowner within the District shall be entitled to cast one <br />vote for each acre or portion thereof owned within the District.
