<br />7.A <br />Page 6 <br />ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> <br />Approved Amendment to City Charter <br /> <br />Section 18. LIBRARY BOARD: <br /> <br />(a) There shall be a Library Board consisting of seven members to be appointed by the <br />City Council. (As amended November 3, 2009 and filed by the Secretary of State <br />February 9, 2010). <br /> <br />(b) All members of such Board shall at the time of their appointments and continuously <br />during their incumbencies be residents and electors of the City. <br /> <br />(c) Any members of such Board may be removed at any time by an affirmative vote of <br />five-sevenths (5I7ths) of all members of the City Council. <br /> <br />(d) The members thereof shall serve for a term of four (4) years each and thereafter <br />until their successors are appointed and qualified. Board members in the office at the <br />time this amendment takes effect shall continue in office until the end of their respective <br />terms. (As amended November 6, 2007, filed by Secretary of State March 12, 2008). <br /> <br />(e) The members of such Board shall receive no compensation. (As amended April 1 0, <br />1984, certified by Secretary of State June 21,1984.) <br /> <br />(f) The Library Board shall establish rules for its proceedings and the authority and <br />duties of the Library Board shall be set forth by the City Council.
