constraints, and potential permitting issues in the Redwood Shores area. The potential need for special <br />construction techniques (trenchless pipeline construction) and an overall operations strategy for each <br />alternative will be identified. <br /> <br />Conceptual-level design cost estimates will be prepared using Consultants database of area recycled water <br />project capital and operating costs. Cost criteria, approved by the City, will be used to compare the <br />alternatives on a life cycle basis. Non-cost benefits or disadvantages of each alternative will also be <br />presented. <br /> <br />Subtask 3.4 - Prepare Technical Memorandum No. 3: Distribution Evaluation <br /> <br />Work performed under Task 3 will be summarized and presented in a draft and final Technical <br />Memorandum. Ten copies of TM No. 3 will be provided. Following receipt of the City's written <br />comments to the draft memorandum, a meeting wilt be conducted with the City staff to resolve comments <br />and finalize the TM. <br /> <br />Task 4 - Project Management and Report <br /> <br />Consultant's Project Manager will monitor the contract scope, schedule and budget and execute the <br />quality assurance quality control program for the work. <br /> <br />Subtask 4.1 - Project Administration and Management <br /> <br />Consultant will perform project administrative and management tasks including; managing in-house staff <br />and subconsultants; monitoring the scope, schedule and budget, planning and monitoring project <br />activities, and preparing Monthly Status Reports and Invoices. A Project Management Plan will be <br />prepared and issued to the team for execution of the project tasks. <br /> <br />Subtask 4.2 - Meetings and Presentations <br /> <br />Meetings with the City will be conducted during the work in addition to the meetings identified in prior <br />task descriptions. These meetings will include a Project Kickoff Meeting and up to five monthly project <br />status meetings. Consultant's Project Manager will be the primary point of contact with the City for the <br />work, and will develop and maintain good communications with all project participants. A PowerPoint <br />type presentation of the final report will be prepared for the City's use in making a presentation to the <br />City Council. Consultant will attend the Council presentation. <br /> <br />Subtask 4.3 - Quality Assurance/Quality Control Reviews <br /> <br />Consultant's Project Manager will develop and monitor a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) <br />Plan specific to this project. This QA/QC Plan will identify specific reference standards and criteria, <br />procedures for review of work in process, and procedures for review of draft and final work products. <br /> <br />Subtask 4.4 - Funding Coordination <br /> <br />Consultant shall assist the City in coordinating a study grant application with the California State Water <br />Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Division of Clean Water Programs, Office of Water Recycling. <br />Work shall include telephone consultations with the SWRCB, and preparation and submittal of the grant <br />application package. <br /> <br />U:~yfiles~ active/h2o planning/kL recycled/contractscopeofservicesdraft3a doc 6 Redwood Shores <br /> Recycled Water Feasibility Study <br /> <br /> <br />
