08/09/2010 <br />ATTACHMENT 2 <br />t <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2010-1 <br />(ONE MARINA) <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br />(the "City ") has adopted its Resolution No. d' (the "Resolution of Intention") <br />declaring its intention to form the City of Redwoo City Community Facilities District <br />No. 2010 -1 (One Marina) (the "District "), and authorize the levy of special taxes and <br />authorize bonded indebtedness pursuant to the Mello -Roos Community Facilities Act <br />1982 (the "Law ") and its Resolution No. f �' (the "Resolution of Intention to Incur <br />Bonded Indebtedness ") declaring its intention to incur bonded indebtedness for the <br />District. <br />The public hearing is scheduled for Monday, September 13, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. <br />or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the regular meeting place of this <br />City Council, which is City Hall Council Chambers located at 1017 Middlefield Road, <br />Redwood City, California, at which time the City Council will hear all evidence and <br />testimony by all interested persons, property owners, voters and taxpayers for or <br />against (1) the establishment of the District, (2) the extent of the District, (3) the levy of <br />a special tax within the District, (4) the issuance of bonded indebtedness an amount not <br />to exceed $17,000,000 by the District to finance the facilities, (5) the furnishing of the <br />specified public facilities, and (6) any other matters as set forth in the Resolution of <br />Intention. <br />A map of the proposed boundaries of the District, the Resolution of Intention <br />(which includes the Rate and Method of Apportionment), the Resolution of Intention to <br />Incur Bonded Indebtedness and a report from, or on behalf of, the City's Finance <br />Director describing the facilities by type and an estimate of the fair and reasonable cost <br />of providing the facilities including the cost of land acquisition, physical facilities and <br />other incidental expenses is available for examination in the office of the City Clerk <br />located at 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California during normal business <br />hours. <br />Any protest pertaining to the regularity or sufficiency of the proceedings relating <br />to the proposed issues described in items (1) through (6) above must be in writing and <br />shall clearly state the irregularities or defects to which objection is made, and shall be <br />filed with the City Clerk on or before the time set for the hearing. if the owners of one - <br />half (1/2) or more of the area of land within the District and not exempt from the special <br />tax file written protests against any of items (1) through (6) above, and protests are not <br />withdrawn so as to reduce the value of the protests to less than a majority, the City <br />Council shall abandon that portion of the proceedings pertaining to such item(s) and no <br />further proceedings with respect to such item(s) shall be taken for a period of one year <br />from the date of the determination by the City Council.
