J SEP 21 '10 RES 0 L UTI 0 N ---------- N O. b/I'~ RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY EDU~TION CENTER FOR PERFORMANCE OF CERTAIN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES WHEREAS, the community Education Center (formerly Community Play Center and Mother's Club), a California non-profit corporation, operates and conducts a bi-lingual nursery school program for pre-school children, and an adult program of English lessons and community orientation for the parents of such pre-school children, and foreign language members of the community; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City has found and determined that the programs so operated and conducted by the aforesaid Center are of general value to the residents of the City of Redwood City, and will result in public benefit to the whole of the community, and are of general benefit to the children of the City of Redwood City; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and the Community Education Center, a California non-profit corporation, entitled "Agreement" (form dated 9/l8/70), relating to the expenditure of funds appropriated by the City and paid to said Center to be utilized for the sole and exclusive purpose of conducting activities relating to the pre-school education, recreation, and health and welfare of children of pre-school age, and associated functions, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk to which copy reference is made for full particulars concerning the terms and particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City. * * *
