<br />t <br />.r ~, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />DES:effi 8/21/70 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />----------- <br /> <br />N O. b.i'F-{ <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 14 1970 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH PENINSULA CELEBRJ...TION ASSOCIA1J:IION <br />AND POLICE YOUTH CLUB FOR ACQUISITION AND USE OF <br />VAN-TYPE TRUCK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the peninsula Celebration Association and the <br /> <br />Police Youth Club of Redwood City are non-profit California <br /> <br />corporations engaged in.activities which include community <br /> <br />promotion and the development and enhancement of community <br /> <br />pride and spirit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Youth Club requires a two-ton <br /> <br />van-type truck for use by its Drill Team and for other community <br /> <br />activities, and further requires provision for operation and <br /> <br />maintenance thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Peninsula Celebration Association proposes <br /> <br />to contribute to the City of Redwood City the sum of Seven <br /> <br />Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00), and the Police Youth Club proposes <br /> <br />to contribute to the City the balance required for city to <br /> <br />acquire said truck, on the condition that City hold and use said <br /> <br />truck in trust for the benefit of the Police Youth Club; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this <br /> <br />Council an agreement by and between the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />the Peninsula Celebration Association, and the Police Youth Club <br /> <br />providing for the aforesaid contributions and use of said funds <br /> <br />and vehicle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council finds that the health,welfare, <br /> <br />morals and general well-being of the community will be served by <br /> <br />entering into the aforesaid agreement and that said agreement is <br />
