CGM:em 7/24/70 . , RES 0 L UTI 0 N ---------- No.b.3~1 OR\G\Nl\l JIJ\. 2,'1 '10 RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO CONCERNING TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX WHEREAS, the city of Redwood city, on the 29th day of December, 1967, entered into an agreement with the County of San Mateo pursuant to Government Code Section 6500, et seg., for the use of certain transient occupancy tax receipts, for the period July 1, 1967 - June 30, 1968; and WHEREAS, paragraph 6 of said agreement provides for the extension thereof for additional successive periods of one fiscal year by adoption of resolutions so providing by both the City and County; and WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the extension of said agreement for and during the one year period commencing July 1, 1970 and terminating June 30, 1971; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY T~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That certain agreement dated December 29, 1967, "by and between the city of Redwood city and the County of San Mateo, entitled "Agreement Concerning Transient Occupancy Tax," is hereby extended in accordance with paragraph 6 thereof by the City of Redwood city for an additional successive one year period commencing July 1, 1970, and terminating June 30, 1971, subject to the con- dition that a resolution duly adopted by the Board of Supervisors of 'the County of San Mateo likewise extending said agreement shall be on file with the Clerk of the city of Redwood city. 2. The city Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the County of San Mateo. * .* *
