<br />.... <br /> <br />, <br />. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />DES:yc:7/l3/70 <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />ORIGiNAL <br /> <br />Jll13 '1~ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N O. ~jPeJ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF' <br />AGREEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES <br />CORPORATION FOR CONSULTING SERVICES IN CONNECTION <br />WITH THE DESIGN OF A DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM: AND <br />RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 6316 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City desires <br /> <br />to acquire a new data processing system which will be better <br /> <br />able to solve the complex billing requirements of City: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, International Business Machines corporation (IBM) <br /> <br />has proposed a design for a data processing system which will <br /> <br />contain solutions to the city's specific utility billing require- <br /> <br />ments, which will detail input/output formats, programs to be <br /> <br />coded, controls to be implemented, and files and records to be <br /> <br />incorporated and which will contain a realistic implementation <br /> <br />and conversion plan: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to contract with IBM as an <br /> <br />independent contractor for the preparation of such design for <br /> <br />said data processa~g system: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That certairi agreement entitled llIBM Service Estimate,ll <br /> <br />dated July 1, 1970, together with llExhibit All thereof entitled <br /> <br />llScope of Effort - Design of the Utility Billing System," dated <br /> <br />July 1, 1970, on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br /> <br />referencedis hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is <br /> <br />hereby approved, and the city Manager is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. <br />2.
