The city Manager lS hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the city of Redwood city \ (a) that certain agreement entitled IlAgreement ,for the Furnishing, of Asphaltic Emulsions" by and between the City, of Redwood city ahd Granite Rock Company for the furnishing of the materials specified under Bid Items 1 and 2 in accordance with the spec- ifications therefor; (b) that certain agreement entitled "Agree- ment for the Furnishing of Crusher-Run Rock Aggregates and Fine Aggregates" by and between '.the City of RedltlOod city and Edgewood Materials, Inc., for the furnishing of the materials specified under Bid Items 3 and 6 in accordance with the specifications therefor; (c) that certain agreement entitled "Agreement for the furnishing of Rock Screenings" by and between the City of Redwood City and Peninsula Building Materials Co., for the furn- ishing of the materials specified under Bid Items 4 and 5 in accordance with the specifications therefor; and (d) that certain agreement entitled "Agreement for the Furnishing of Asphalt Concrete" by and between the city of Red~.,ood ci ty and Hillsdale Rock Co., Inc., for the furnishing of the materials specified under Bid Items 7,8,9 and 10 in accordance with the specifications therefor. Copies of said agreements are presently on file in "the office of the City Clerk-to which reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning the terms and conditions thereof. 8. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all unsuccessful bidders, and to the successful bidders upon execution by them of contracts for the furnishing of said materials;.al~ security guarant~eing execution of the contracts upon award. * *, ')'r -3-
