<br />L <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:3/20/70 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />11M 23 "lQ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N O. 6J.~~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY FOR THE <br />STRATEGIC CONSOLIDATION SEWERAGE PLAN TO AWARD CONTRACTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6142, adopted October 27, <br /> <br />1969, this Council approved plans and specifications for the <br /> <br />construction of the Stage 1 Project of the strategic Consolidation <br /> <br />Sewerage Plan, consisting of Project units No.1, No. 2 and No.3, <br /> <br />and authorized the Joint Powers Authority to call for bids for <br /> <br />the construction of said projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has been advised that bids have been <br /> <br />received pursuant to said call, and filed with the Secretary of <br /> <br />the Joint Powers Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, C. Norman Peterson Co., contractors, Stockton <br /> <br />Construction Co., Inc., and Healy Tibbitts Construction Co., are <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidders for Project Units No. I, No. 2 <br /> <br />and No.3, respectively; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the aforesaid <br /> <br />Joint Powers Authority to award the contracts for the construction <br /> <br />of said project units to the aforesaid lowest responsible bidders; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Joint Powers Authority for the strategic Consolidation <br /> <br />Sewerage Plan is hereby authorized and directed to award the <br /> <br />contracts for the construction of the stage I Project of the <br />strategic Consolidation Sewerage plan to the following lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidders, and for the contract prices hereinafter <br /> <br />listed. <br /> <br />{a} C. Norman Peterson Co. Contractors, a California <br /> <br />Corporation, for the construction of Project Unit <br />
