DES:yc:lO/20/69 <br /> 'ORIGINAt <br /> OCT 20 '69 <br /> REE.OLUT.!ON N o. 6/33 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF <br />ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEM FOR CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS <br />ON BROADWAY, BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND EL CAMINO REAL; <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6120, the City Clerk <br /> <br />called for bids for the installation of an electrical power <br /> <br />system for Christmas decorations,on Broadway, between Main Street <br /> <br />and El Camino Real; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the city Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, COAST ELECTRIC COMPANY, Redwood City, California, <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to Coast Electrict <br /> <br />Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Coast Electric Company, in the total amount <br /> <br />of Seven Thousand One Hundred Sixty-five and 98/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($7,165.98), more or less, computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated October 20, 1969, for the installation of an <br /> <br />electrical power system on Broadway, between Main Street and <br /> <br />El Camino Real, in accordance with the plans and specifications <br /> <br />therefor, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found <br /> <br />and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br /> <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />--~-_. .- <br />
