2. Scope of Work Developer shall be responsible for designing, <br />constructing, installing, obtaining permits and providing for the inspections for the work <br />(the 'Work") described in this Agreement, as more fully described in Exhibit A and route <br />shown on Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. In addition, it <br />shall be responsible for coordinating with Pacific Gas and Electric ( "PG &E") and <br />SBC /Pacific Bell ( "PacBell ") for the relocation of their private utility lines, which <br />relocation work shall be performed by PG &E and PacBell respectively, at their cost. <br />Developer shall have all construction documents for the Work processed <br />through to approval by the City and all other agencies with jurisdiction prior to <br />construction. All design documents and construction contracts must be submitted to the <br />City by April 15, 2003 for review and approval, and shall be in accordance with the <br />City's revised specifications entitled "Engineering Standards of the City of Redwood <br />City," adopted January 5, 1998 which standards are on file in the office of the Manager, <br />Engineering and Construction Department. Said Work shall also be constructed in strict <br />compliance with the provisions of Article VII, Chapter 29 of the Code of the City of <br />Redwood City. If any conflict exists between the construction documents and said <br />Chapter 29 in regard to the standard for a particular improvement, the stricter standard <br />shall govern. Developer shall complete all of the Work, subject to such exceptions and <br />time extensions allowable under Section 16 on or before December 1, 2003. The Work <br />shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: <br />(a) demolition; <br />(b) excavation; <br />(c) relocation of existing City water main; <br />(d) relocation of existing City sewer main; <br />(e) relocation of existing City 12 -inch reinforced concrete storm drain <br />lines; <br />(f) relocation of existing City electrical street lights and conduits; <br />(g) relocation of existing City communication conduit; <br />(h) concrete work; <br />(i) shoring; <br />0) dewatering; <br />(k) traffic control; <br />(1) restoration of all surface improvements; <br />(m) allowance for relocating PG &E gas and electric facilities, <br />SBC /Pacific Bell facilities and City's communication facilities; <br />and all other work, improvements or construction required by or mentioned in the <br />above - mentioned construction documents , conditions of permits and all construction, <br />appurtenances and improvements necessary as reasonably determined by the City <br />Engineer to complete the aforementioned Work. <br />Developer shall contract for construction of the Work with a contractor <br />holding a Class "A" Contractor's License and experienced in the type of Work described <br />hereunder.
