',- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N O. hotl <br /> <br />AtJG ~5 6~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION RELATING TO PARTICIPATION IN <br />A COOPERATIVE LIBRARY SYSTEM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City has in <br /> <br />prior years approved formation and participation in cooperative <br /> <br />library systems in San Mateo County: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council a <br /> <br />plan of service for a new and prospective cooperative library <br /> <br />system in San Mateo County: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the plan of <br /> <br />service for a cooperative library system: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby approves the plan of service <br /> <br />for the cooperative library system, which plan is on file <br /> <br />in the office of the City Librarian, to which reference is <br /> <br />hereby made for the particulars thereof. <br /> <br />2. This Council approves the organization of the <br /> <br />cooperative system by a joint exercise of powers agreement <br /> <br />as provided by the laws of the State of California. <br /> <br />3. The City Librarian is authorized and directed to <br /> <br />proceed and take the necessary steps to implement the intent <br /> <br />of this resolution relating to the cooperative library system <br /> <br />and to make such application and prepare such documents as <br /> <br />may be necessary to secure a State grant pursuant to Section <br /> <br />27111, et seq., of the Educatiqn Code. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />~, <br />
