A label stating the registration number of the <br />manufacturer/supplier, and the dimensions shall be stitched on each unit. Formal certificates shall <br />be issued at time of invoice. The Main Drape and Valance, Orchestra Rail Drape, and Door Drapes <br />shall be constructed of 250z KM velour. (Color to be selected from standard available). All drapes <br />shall have 50% Box Pleated Fullness sewn in; Shirred fullness, Z and Knife Pleating shall not be <br />used. All drape dimensions will be field verified prior to fabrication. <br /> <br />QUANTITIES: <br /> <br />1 ea. Main Bi-Parting Pair, each panel: 14'6"H x 16'O"W. <br />1 ea. Main Valance, each panel: 4'0"H x 30'0"W. <br />1 ea. Main Orchestra Pit Drape: 2'6"H x 20'0"W. <br />2 ea. Main Door Drape, each panel: 8'0"H x 3'6"W. <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION: Curtains shall be manufactured by experienced personnel specializing in the <br />construction of theatrical stage draperies. Curtains shall be sewn to 3-1/2" heavy jute webbing <br />using industrial duty sewing machines. Biparting pairs shall be finished with grommets and snaps <br />on 12" centers at the top; a half-width foldback at center; 3" outside hems; and a chain pocket <br />containing #10 jack chain at the bottom. All chain shall be attached at both ends to prevent <br />movement within the pocket. Valance shall be be finished with grommets and ties at the top; 2" side <br />hems; and a 6" hem at the bottom. Orchestra Pit and Door Drapes shall have hidden ties on 12" <br />centers at the top. <br /> <br />INSTALLATION: The new Biparting Pair shall attach to the EXISTING track. No warranty <br />will be made as to the functionality of existing tracks. Track suspension hardware shall be replaced <br />with all new rated hardware from the existing Unistrut grid. (1) new 1.5" ill Black Schedule 40 <br />Pipe will be installed to support the new Valance, including new suspension hardware. All existing <br />suspension hardware supporting the legs, borders, and traveler drapes will be replaced with new <br />rated suspension hardware attached to the existing Unistrut grid. (3) new black 1.5" ID Schedule <br />40 Pipes will be installed to replace existing border battens. New tracks and pivot devices will be <br />provided for the legs. The EXISTING masking drapes, consisting of (3) borders, (6) legs, and (2) <br />travelers, will be reinstalled. No warranty will be made as to the condition of the drapes, which are <br />in serious disrepair. No shop drawings will be provided. Musson Theatrical is not a structural <br />engineer and makes no representations thereof. Site must be free of obstruction and events for a <br />total of five consecutive working days. Installation by Musson Theatrical is included in this <br />package. Disposal of the existing drapes is at the discretion of the City. Prevailing wage will apply <br />and labor rates shall be governed by the wages by paid to members of the Stagehand Union, IA TSE <br />for Traditional Stage Crafts.
