M1if 12 ''11 REE.OLUT.!ON No.SCJib RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MIDDLEFIELD ROAD WIDENING - CHESTNUT STREET TO MAPLE STREET; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR WHEREAS, there have been presented to this Council certain plans and specifications for the construction of the widening of Middlefield Road, Chestnut Street to Maple Street, in the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the same and desires to signify its approval thereof and authorize the City Clerk to call for bids for the construction of said improvements; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. Those certain plans entitled "City of Redwood City, California - Department of Public Works - Engineering Division - Middlefield Road Widening - Chestnut Street to Maple Street - Title Sheet and Typical Section" and those certain specifications entitled "General Specifications and Special Provisions for the Construction of the Middlefield Road Widening - Chestnut Street to Maple Street - in the City of Redwood City, California" prepared in the office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the City Engineer, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the construction of the above mentioned improvements, in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, said advertisement to be in the form of that certain "Notice to Contractors" set forth in the above mentioned speci- fications. * * *
