S97 I MAY 5 '00 RESOLUTION ABA~IDONING PORTIONS OF PUBLIC STREETS IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGllivAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing at ~8300) of Division 9 of the streets and Highways Code of the state of California, the Council of the City of Redwood City by its Resolution No. 5948, adopted April 7, 1969, declared its intention to vacate the hereinafter described portions of Hamilton Street and Bradford street; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the Streets and Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate and abandon the described portions of the above mentioned streets has been published and posted; and WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS 'FOLLOWS: 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the hereinafter described portions of Hamilton Street and Bradford Street are unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes and hereby orders said portions of Hamilton Street and Bradford Street vacated subject to a reservation of an easement and right of way for public utility purposes as hereinafter described. 2. The portion of Hamilton Street vacated, together with the easement and right of way excepted and reserved therefrom, is as indicated on that certain plat on file in the office of the City Clerk, entitled "Proposed Abandonment of Ptn. of Bradford & Hamilton Sts.," dated January, 1969, and together with the easement excepted and reserved therefrom, is more particularly described as follows:
