S97 I <br /> <br />MAY 5 '00 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ABA~IDONING PORTIONS OF PUBLIC STREETS IN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 <br />OF DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGllivAYS CODE OF THE <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing <br /> <br />at ~8300) of Division 9 of the streets and Highways Code of <br /> <br />the state of California, the Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />by its Resolution No. 5948, adopted April 7, 1969, declared its <br /> <br />intention to vacate the hereinafter described portions of Hamilton <br /> <br />Street and Bradford street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the Streets and <br /> <br />Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate and abandon the <br /> <br />described portions of the above mentioned streets has been <br /> <br />published and posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS 'FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the <br /> <br />hereinafter described portions of Hamilton Street and Bradford <br /> <br />Street are unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes <br /> <br />and hereby orders said portions of Hamilton Street and Bradford <br /> <br />Street vacated subject to a reservation of an easement and right <br /> <br />of way for public utility purposes as hereinafter described. <br /> <br />2. The portion of Hamilton Street vacated, together with <br /> <br />the easement and right of way excepted and reserved therefrom, <br /> <br />is as indicated on that certain plat on file in the office of the <br /> <br />City Clerk, entitled "Proposed Abandonment of Ptn. of Bradford & <br /> <br />Hamilton Sts.," dated January, 1969, and together with the easement <br /> <br />excepted and reserved therefrom, is more particularly described <br /> <br />as follows: <br />
