P-1384 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF A LOAN APPLICATION <br /> WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS OF THE <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE REDWOOD CITY YACHT HARBOR <br /> REHABILITATION AND BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT AND APPROVING <br /> AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LOAN DOCUMENTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Boating and Waterways of <br />the State of California provides loans to cities, counties and <br />districts for the development of small craft harbor facilities; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Port of Redwood City is intends to refurbish <br />and replace certain elements to extend the service life of the <br />Port facility and provide improved conditions for harbor users <br />and meet the needs of the boating public in the surrounding <br />area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Port of Redwood City conducted a feasibility <br />study which demonstrated the proposed project to be feasible from <br />both an engineering and financial perspective; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed project consists of pile replacement, <br />decking and facia replacement and re-dredging of the existing <br /> <br />basin to its original design depth. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Board hereby authorizes and directs the Executive <br />Director's (Port Manager~ application to and filing thereof with <br />the Department of Boating and Waterways of the State of <br />California for a loan in the amount of Eight Hundred Eiqhty <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($880,000.00) for the development of <br /> <br /> <br />
