'\"1,1. <br /> <br />OCT '1 o. <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />.~"Q~ <br />NO.~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />OXIDATION PONDS EFFLUENT LINE AND" CHLORINATION SYSTEM <br />FOR REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5763, adopted August 19, <br /> <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of an <br /> <br />oxidation ponds effluent line and chlorination system for Redwood <br /> <br />City General Improvement District No. 1-64; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ALBAY CONSTRUCTION CO., Concord, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said contract to Albay Construction Co.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Albay Construction Co., in the total amount <br /> <br />of Forty-six Thousand six Hundred Seventy-eight and 35/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($46,678.35), more or less, computed at the unit prices quoted <br /> <br />in bidder's proposal opened September 4, 1968, for the construction <br /> <br />of an oxidation ponds effluent line and chlorination system for <br /> <br />Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-64, in accordance <br /> <br />with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the office <br /> <br />of the City Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter" into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement, Redwood City General <br />Improvement District No. 1-64, Redwood Shores, Oxidation Ponds <br /> <br />Effluent Line and Chlorination System, by and between the City <br />
