S7~+ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF <br />PROPOSAL FOR PERFORMANCE OF LEGAL SERVICES. OF BOND <br />COUNSEL RELATING TO REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT NO. 1-64 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the firm of Orrick, Herrington, Rowley & Sutcliffe, <br /> <br />by letter dated August 6, 1968, offered to perform certain stated <br /> <br />legal services in connection with proceedings for the authorization, <br /> <br />issuance and sale of bonds, additional.to.those heretofore authorized, <br /> <br />for the authorization, issuance, and sale of bonds for a fire pro- <br /> <br />tection project for .Redwood City General Improvement District <br /> <br />No. 1-64: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS it is necessary. and desirable. that such services be <br /> <br />obtained by the .city of Redwood City: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the firm of Orrick, Herrington, Rowley & Sutcliffe <br /> <br />is qualified and expert in th~ performance of such services. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE : <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the firm of Orrick, Herrington,. Rowley & Sutcliffe <br /> <br />is hereby retained by the City of Redwood City for the performance <br /> <br />of expert legal services in connection with proceedings for the <br />authorization, issuance and sale of bonds, additional to those <br /> <br />heretofore authorized, and for the authori~ation, issuance and <br /> <br />sale of bonds .for a fire protection project for Redwood City <br /> <br />General Improvement District No. 1-64, in accordance with. and sub- <br /> <br />ject to the terms and conditions of that certain. letter proposal <br />dated August..6, 1968, by said firm which letter proposal is attached <br /> <br />hereto marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein as if set forth. _. <br />herein verbatim. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
