<br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />as:lm:6/24/68 <br />ORiGJ f'lf,L <br /> <br />J1JN 24 '68 <br /> <br />RE2.0LUT1.0N <br /> <br />N o. 57:1r <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN MATEO CONCERNING TRANSIENT <br />OCCUPANCY TAX <br /> <br />'~EREAS, the City of Redwood city on the 29th day of <br /> <br />December, 1967, entered into an agreement with the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo pursuant to Government Code Sections 6500 et seq., for the <br /> <br />use of certain transient occupancy tax receipts, for the period <br /> <br />July 1, 1967 through June 30, 1968; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, paragraph 6 of said agreement provides for the <br /> <br />extension thereof for additional successive periods of one fiscal <br /> <br />year by adoption of resolutions so providing by both the City and <br /> <br />County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve the extension of said agreement for and during the one- <br /> <br />year period commencing July 1, 1968, and terminating June 30, 1969; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That certain agreement dated December 29, 1967, by and <br /> <br />be-tween the City of Redwood City and the Coun-cy of San Mateo <br /> <br />entitled "Agreement Concerning Transient Occupancy Tax," is <br /> <br />hereby extended in accordance with paragraph 6 thereof by the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City for an additional successive one-year period <br /> <br />commencing July 1, 1968, and terminating June 30, 1969, subject <br /> <br />to the condition that a resolution duly adopted by the Board of <br /> <br />Supervisors of the County of San Mateo likewise extending said <br /> <br />agreement shall be on file with.. the Clerk of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City. <br /> <br />2. The city Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward <br /> <br />a certified copy of this resolution to the County of San Mateo. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
