�e • 0 RJC.ek.5/19/61-7 R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N N O. 3393 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING MELVIN MOEN AND WILLIAM MARTIN, JR., AND EACH OF THEM, DEPUTY CITY ENGINEER AND SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS DURING THE ABSENCE OF THE CITY ENGINEER AND STATING THE AUTHORITY OF SUCH DEPUTIES V41HEREAS, Glenn M. Jain, City Engineer and Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City, will be absent from the City of Redwood City for a period of approximately thirty days; and, WHEREAS, it is desirable and in the best interests of the City that Melvin M,,Den and William Martin, Jr., be authorized to act for and on behalf of the City Engineer and the Superintendent of Streets and to execute such papers, plans, documents, contracts, etc., as may be necessary during the absence of the City Engineer and Superintendent of Streets; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to designate said Melvin Moen and William Martin, Jr., and each of them, as Deputy City Engineer and Deputy Superintendent of Streets; NUN, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLL(YYVS -. Melvin M.,Den and -, v7illiam Martin, Jr., and each of them,, are hereby designated Deputy City Engineer and Deputy Superintendent of Streets and said deputies are hereby authorized and empowered to exercise all powers and perform all functions of the City Engineer and Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City, as provided in the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the general laws of the State of California, and the ordinances, resolutions, orders, and directions of the Council of the City of Redwood City, except as otherwise prohibited by law. The authority granted hereunder shall commence immediately and shall terminate June 15th, 1961.
