• <br />R E S 0 L U T 10 t N 0. <br />REG.- yc:4/27/61 -7 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN CI`T'Y AND WESTERN STATES ATONIC VAULTS, <br />INC. FOR THE STORING OF CITY'S MICROFILM RECORDS <br />WHEREAS, Section 34090.5 of the Government Code of the State <br />of California authorizes City officers having custody of public <br />records, documents, instruments and papers to cause microphoto- <br />graphic copies of such records to be made, and provides for the <br />negatives to be sealed and stored in a place calculated to assure <br />preservation indefinitely against their loss, theft, defacement <br />or destruction; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agree- <br />ment between the City and Western States Atomic Vaults, Inc. for <br />the storage of such negatives and for such other items that should <br />be preserved in a place safe from public calamity; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement between the City of Redwood City and <br />Western States Atomic Vaults, Inc., entitled "Agreement with <br />Western States Atomic Vaults, Inc. for Storing City's Microfilm <br />Records," copy of which is presently on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of <br />the City of Redwood City. <br />
