REG: yc : 3/22/61 -7 <br />RE S GLUT I ON NO. 3340 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF CERTAIN HEREIN DES- <br />CRIBED REAL PROPERTY KNOWN AS 411 HOWLAND STREET, <br />REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA <br />WHEREAS, Paul B. Jensen, as administrator of the estate of <br />Jean Koempel, intends to sell the hereinafter described real prop- <br />erty, known as 411 Howland Street, Redwood City, California, at <br />private sale to the highest bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, said property lies within the official plan lines <br />established by the City of Redwood City for the extension of <br />Industrial Way and its acquisition is necessary for public street <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has examined the said property <br />and has found that the value therefor exceeds the sum of Two <br />Thousand Dollars ($ 2, 000.00) ; <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the acquisition of the hereinafter described property <br />is necessary for a public purpose, to wit: the extension of a <br />public street. <br />2. That the City Manager is authorized to do all acts neces- <br />sary to acquire the hereinafter described real property on behalf <br />of the City of Redwood City; provided, however, that the cost of <br />such acquisition shall not exceed the sum of Five Thousand Dollars <br />($5 <br />3. That the property to be acquired is that certain real <br />property commonly referred to as 411 Howland Street, Redwood City, <br />California, and more particularly described as follows: <br />
