I - 10 - 0 <br />• <br />(b) That this Council recognized the need for a four - <br />lane traffic artery by the adoption of Plan Lines <br />for the widening of Bay Road from Sweeney Avenue <br />to Chestnut Street by Resolution No. 1380, adopted <br />October 27, 1952. <br />(c) That this Council required the developer of Redwood <br />Industrial Tracts No. 1 and 2 to dedicate the neces- <br />sary additional rights of way and improve Bay Road <br />for two traffic lanes and one parking lane, curbs, <br />gutters and storm drainage system over their one- <br />half of this proposed ultimate four -lane traffic <br />artery to Major City Street standards. <br />(d) That gas tax funds were used to pave the center two <br />traffic lanes of Florence Street and Bay Road between <br />Marsh Road and Fifth Avenue in 1950, Major City Street <br />Project No. 42. <br />3. That this Council requests the Department of Public Works, <br />Division of Highways, State of California, to approve a four -way <br />intersection at Bay Road and the proposed Route 214 expressway. <br />4. That this Council approves a limited intersection of <br />Spring Street with the proposed expressway; such intersection to <br />permit right turns from Spring Street onto Route 214 and from <br />Route 214 onto Spring Street, but not to permit traffic to cross <br />the proposed Route 214 expressway. <br />5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify and <br />forward to the Department of Public Works, State of California, <br />150 Oak Street, San Francisco 2, California, three certified <br />copies of this resolution. <br />-2- <br />
