r <br />J <br />1 • <br />RJC : ek : 2 /2 /61- 7 <br />R E S G L U T I O N N O. �3 00 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING OF NEW <br />AUTOMOBILE; AND, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3287, adopted January 9, <br />1961, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of a new <br />police car for municipal purposes to replace worn out equipment <br />in accordance with specifications therefor; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br />with the City Manager; and, <br />WHEREAS, Towne Motor Company, Redwood City, California, is <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br />of this Council to award said bid to Towne Motor Company and <br />reject all other bids received; <br />NOW.. THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Towne Motor Company for the furnishing of <br />a new police car to the City of Redwood City in accordance with <br />specifications heretofore approved by Resolution No. 3287, at <br />the price quoted in its proposal, to wit, One Thousand Four <br />Hundred Twenty -nine Dollars ($1,429.00), is hereby accepted <br />and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br />2. Any and all other bids received by the City of Redwood <br />City for the furnishing of the above mentioned vehicle to the <br />City, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are <br />hereby rejected. <br />
