1 <br />df <br />• r <br />budget for operations during the period ending July 1, 1961, shall be prepared <br />and adopted by the Executive Committee in an amount not to exceed $55,000, and <br />assessments therefor shall be imposed by the Executive Committee such assessments <br />nct to exceed the amounts that would have been paid by each member if all <br />eligible jurisdictions had be.c=.e members of the Association, unless, by resolu -- <br />tion of its governing body, a member jurisdiction agrees to pay only for the <br />P <br />criod ending July 1, 1961, an amount eXCeeding that which would have been paid <br />if al eligible juri had become members of the Association. <br />2. Agency to •A.dmt.nister the Agreement. The Association as constituted by <br />this Agreement is designated as the agency to administer this Agreement. <br />3. powers of Association. The Association shall have the power, in its <br />own name, to slake and enter ir►to contracts, to employ agents and employees, to <br />acquire, held and dispose of Property, and to incur debts, liabilities or obliga - <br />Lions neceesary for the acc=plishment of the purposes of this Agreement. The <br />e <br />xe; cise by the Association of the power to sue or be sued in its own nan* shall <br />be subject to the restrictions on the exercise of such power applicable to the <br />County of Alameda. <br />4. Contributions and Payments. Contributions in the form of yearly <br />b ership <br />assessments shall �e made annually by the parties to this Agreement <br />from the treasuries or other available public funds of the parties for the pur- <br />P os. e of defraying the costs of Providing the annual benefits accruing directly <br />to each party from this Agreement. All such payments of public funds shall be <br />paid to and disbursed by the Association, which shall be strictly accountable for <br />all funds and responsible for reporting to the parties hereto concerning all <br />receipts and disbursements. <br />5. Amendment. This Agreement may be amended at any time by the written <br />agreemen t of all p arties to it, or by amendment of the By -Laws in the manner <br />provided therein. <br />M. <br />
