<br />5. SPECIAL ORDER OF THE DAY - None <br />6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Monica Devincenzi, Recycle Outreach and Sustainability Manager at SBWMA (South <br />Bayside Waste Management Authority) announced the rollout of their garbage and <br />compost CartSMART services for Redwood City. She provided details on their new <br />program for Green Team Block Leaders, and upcoming' meetings. She noted that more <br />information may be accessed on the city's website http://www.redwoodcitV.oro as well as <br />on their website at http://www.rethinkwaste.org. <br /> <br />Karen Keefer, a resident of Redwood City, said she was a CERT (Community Emergency <br />Response Team) leader, and she thanked Council for this program. She then spoke in <br />support of volunteers and the Fire Department. She would like to have "train the trainer" <br />classes for CERT at a nearby community such as San Francisco or Contra Costa County. <br />She inquired about a way to have a public forum for Q & A to be shared publicly. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Waive reading of the consent calendar and the full text of <br />ordinances and resolutions, and approve the Consent Calendar items. <br /> <br />Council Member Foust pulled agenda item 6.1 J. <br />M/S Foust/Gee to approve the Consent Calendar with the exception of 6.1 J. <br /> <br />Item 6.1 G pulled for discussion as well. One Council Member spoke about the Grand Jury <br />report and how he would like additional information to come back. One Council Member <br />mentioned she would appreciate collision data. Mr. Ingram noted that staff will be bringing <br />more information to Council on this topic in October. One Council Member would like the <br />concept of "train the trainer" to come back. <br />Motion carried unanimously by electronic vote. <br />Council Member Foust left the dais. <br /> <br />MIS Seybert/Gee to approve Consent Calendar item 6.1 J. Motion carried 6-0 with <br />Council Member Foust recused. <br /> <br />6.1 Section - Motions <br /> <br />A. Minutes: the Joint City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board meeting <br />minutes of August 9, 2010 as submitted - City Council/Redeve/ooment <br />Aaency Board. Minute Order 10-150 <br /> <br />B. Professional services agreement for preliminary engin~ering design for the <br />Walnut Street Interceptor Sewer Replacement Project. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Approve, by motion, the standard form professional service agreement with RMC <br />Water and Environment of San Jose to provide preliminary engineering design <br />services for the Walnut Street Interceptor Replacement Project in an amount not to <br />exceed $119,149.00 and authorize the City Manager to increase the contract <br />amount up to 100J'o if necessary.
