She thanked <br />all who got involved and are willing to have a voice and be stakeholders of this process. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Aguirre asked people to get involved and influence change. She wants the <br />people from this community to feel heard and get involved in shaping this process. Mayor <br />Ira acknowledged there is mistrust and he hopes that the introduction of the consultants <br />will rebuild trust. He would like people to get involved, and know the process and be part <br />of the solution. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. Receive an informational briefing and update on the Saltworks project, no <br />action required. <br /> <br />2. Approve the following amendments to professional services agreements for the <br />purpose of continuing the environmental review process associated with the <br />Saltworks project: <br /> <br />a. Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 3 to the professional services <br />agreement with Data Instincts for the review of the Saltworks development <br />proposal in an amount not to exceed $180,000. <br />M/S Pierce/Bain to approve agenda item 7.A.2.a. Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 4 to the professional services <br />agreement with Hart Howerton for the review of the Saltworks development <br />proposal in an amount not to exceed $868,274. <br />M/S Gee/Seybert to approve agenda item 7.A.2.b. Approve by motion, Amendment NO.1 to the professional services <br />agreement with Hauge Brueck Associates (HBA) for environmental <br />consulting services related to the Saltworks development proposal in an <br />amount not to exceed $1,439,300. <br />i. Authorize the City Manager to modify the scope of the professional <br />service agreement with Hauge Brueck Associates if necessary, including <br />the addition or elimination of sub-consultants and their relative scopes of <br />work. <br /> <br />ii. Authorize the City Manager to increase the Hauge Brueck Associates <br />contact amount by an additional 25%) or up to $425,000 if necessary and <br />in relationship to the need to prepare additional technical studies and/or <br />for the hiring of additional sub-consultants. <br /> <br />M/S Pierce/Seybert to approve agenda item 7.A.2.C (including i. and ii).
