We understand that the City will <br />need to dispose of the property, and our agency Is interested in operating the facility <br />as affordable housing. Our Executive Committee has given Board authorization for <br />our agency staff to move forward with the next steps for acquisition of the property. <br /> <br />The Service League currently owns and operates six facilities in Redwood City and <br />unincorporated areas within the City limits for transitional living (4) and residential <br />treatment (2). The Rolison Road property would be an excellent fit with the housing <br />needs of our client population, especially to support family reunification. With our <br />housing experience since 1991, our agency can effectively manage the Rolison Road <br />property to continue to benefit the City and fulfill our agency mission: "Protecting the <br />community by rebuilding lives." As current tenants move from the property, our <br />agency staff will place qualified families In the available units. <br /> <br />The Service League Is ready to negotiate a Purchase and Sales Agreement for the <br />property. We understand that the agreement will Include regulatory terms to sustain <br />the property as affordable housing long-term for 55 years.
