RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ALIGNMENT AND EXTENSION OF EDGECLIFF WAY AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE AND EX- ECUTION OF DEEDS THEREFOR 3268 vrnEREAS, by Ordinance No. 973, adopted August I, 1960, all that territory known as IlEdgecliff Annexation" was annexed to the City of Redwood City; and vrrmREAS, said territory includes an unimproved right of way known as Edgecliff Way, which right of way terminates in a cul-de- sac separated from that improved public right of way known as Edgecliff Way (as shown on "that map of Farm Hill No.4, filed May 8, 1958, in Book 48 of Maps at pages 41 and 42, San Mateo County Records) by that parcel of property described as Parcel IV in paragraph 3 belowi and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City and the property owners ad- jacent to the above described unimproved portion of Edgecliff Way desire to connect the unimproved portion of Edgecliff Way with the improved portion and desire to make certain changes in the alignment of the unimproved portion of Edgecliff Way by the exchange of por- - ,\ tions of the real property presently within the unimproved righ"t of way for portions of real property presently adjacent to said right of waYi and WHEREAS, the Assessor of the City of Redwood City has, pursuant to the provisions of subdivision (h) of Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, made an appraisal of all the property included within the exchange and has found that the value of the property to be received by the City equals or exceeds the value of the property to be disposed of; NOW, THEREFORE : BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS:
