RESOLUT,ION N o. 3267 RESOLUTION DECLARING WEEDS A NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEIR REMOVAL BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. That weeds bearing seeds of a wingy and downy nature, and weeds which will attain a large growth and become a fire hazard and nuisance, when dry, and weeds which are otherwise noxious and dangerous, are growing in and upon private property throughout the City of Redwood City, and in and upon the sidewalks, parkways, streets, avenues, roadways, boulevards, highways and alleys situate within the City of Redwood City. 2. That the Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby declare all such weeds to be a public nuisance and declares that unless said nuisance be abated without delay by the destruction or removal of such weeds, the Council of the City of Redwood City shall cause said nuisance to be abated and shall cause the expense of such abatement to be assessed upon the lots and lands from which, and/or in the front or rear of which, such weeds shall have been destroyed or removed, in accordance with and in the manner provided by Ordinance No. 748 of the City of Redwood City adopted on the 22nd day of October, 1953, which ordinance is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City, to which ordinance reference is hereby made and the same is hereby made a part hereof as if set forth herein verbatim. 3. That the Superintendent of streets of the City of Redwood City is hereby directed to give notice of the passage of this res- olution as provided for and in accordance with the form of notice set forth in the above mentioned Ordinance No. 748 of the City of Redwood City.
