There is excepted from said District all streets and all other public property in use in the performance of a public function. Notice is llereby given that serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments of $50.00 or over, bearing interest at the rate of six per- cent (6%) per annum, will be issued pursuant to provisions of The Improve- ment Act of 1911, as embodied in Division 7, Part 5, of the streets and Highways Code of the state of California, the last installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen years from the second day of January next succeeding the first day of the next September following tlleir date. SJid bonds shall be payable to bearer and shall contain a provision pro- vidl.ng for a l' i ve percent (55~;) prepayment premium. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 5th day of December, 1960, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., at the Board of Supervisors' Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested may appear and show cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not find. and determine that the public convenience and necessity require the improvements described and referred to in this resolution, without fur- ther compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest Act of 1931 of the State of California now embodied in the streets and Highways Code of California as Division 4 thereof. The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of this resolution by publishing a Notice of Proposed Local Improvement once in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, and by posting same on or near the Council Chamber door of said Council, said posting and Pllblication to be made at least ten days before the date of said hearing. -3-
