<br />There is excepted from said District all streets and all other <br />public property in use in the performance of a public function. <br /> <br />Said Council hereby preliminarily determines that i t ~L~.~ contri- <br />bu.te to the cos t of said improvements, the sum of ;~ -2.~ 11 = from gaso- <br />line tax funds and will pay in cash the assessments attributatle to City- <br />o'\1ned property ine luded in assessments numbered 5 and 10 from general <br />funds and Parking District No.1 funds, respectively. <br /> <br />Notice is llereby given that serial bonds to represent the unpaid <br />assessments of $50.00 or over, bearing interest at the rate of six per- <br />cent (6%) per annum, will be issued pursuant to provisions of The Improve- <br />ment Act of 1911, as embodied in Division 7, Part 5, of the streets and <br />Highways Code of the state of California, the last installment of which <br />bonds shall mature fourteen years from the second day of January next <br />succeeding the first day of the next September following tlleir date. <br />SJid bonds shall be payable to bearer and shall contain a provision pro- <br />vidl.ng for a l' i ve percent (55~;) prepayment premium. <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 5th day of December, 1960, <br />at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., at the Board of Supervisors' Chambers, <br />Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, California, is hereby fixed <br />as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested may <br />appear and show cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not <br />find. and determine that the public convenience and necessity require the <br />improvements described and referred to in this resolution, without fur- <br />ther compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation, and <br />Majority Protest Act of 1931 of the State of California now embodied in <br />the streets and Highways Code of California as Division 4 thereof. <br /> <br />The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of this resolution <br />by publishing a Notice of Proposed Local Improvement once in the Redwood <br />City Tribune, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, <br />and by posting same on or near the Council Chamber door of said Council, <br />said posting and Pllblication to be made at least ten days before the date <br />of said hearing. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
