<br />t!'"- r" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REG:yc: 9/14/60-7 - <br />/" i./ <br />ft~ ~' /A ~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />3203 <br /> <br />RESOLUT1.0N <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE <br />PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has advised this Council that the <br /> <br />hereinafter described portions of a public utility easement are <br /> <br />no longer necessary or needed for public municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the easement portions which are no longer necessary <br /> <br />or needed for public municipal purposes are portions of those <br /> <br />easements which were designated as such on that map entitled "Farm <br /> <br />Hill No. 2," recorded May 23, 1956, in the office of the Recorder <br /> <br />of San Mateo County in Book 45 of Maps at page 21, and have not <br /> <br />been used as such since that date; and <br /> <br />~lliEREAS, said portions are unnecessary for present or pros- <br /> <br />pective public use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the Pacific <br /> <br />Telephone and Telegraph Company have signified their approval to <br /> <br />the abandonment of said portions of said easement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 5 (commencing at Section 50430) of Chapter 2, <br /> <br />Part 1, Division l, Title 5 of the Government Code provides a pro- <br /> <br />cedure for the vacation of easements by local authorities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE : <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby declares <br /> <br />its intention to abandon the hereinafter described portions of a <br /> <br />public utility easement pursuant to the aforementioned Government <br /> <br />Code provisions. <br /> <br />2. The above mentioned portions of a public utility easement, <br /> <br />a plan of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, are <br /> <br />described as follows: <br />
