<br />,r <br />,:-..-e>~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REG:yc:6/l3/60-7 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. 3115 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION URGING PEOPLE OF REDWOOD CITY TO PARTICIPATE <br />WITH CITIZENS OF SAN HATEO COUNTY IN PROVIDING EELIEP <br />FOR DISASTER STRICKEN CHILE <br /> <br />WHE~~AS, the country of Chile has recently been subjected to <br /> <br />catastrophic earthquakes and tidal waves; and <br /> <br />~mEREAS, large portions of the country have been devastated, <br /> <br />its people killed and injured and untold thousands of families <br /> <br />left homeless and without adequate food, clothing and medical sup- <br /> <br />plies; and <br /> <br />WHEP~AS, it is incumbent upon all peoples throughout the world <br /> <br />to take it upon themselves to furnish aid and comfort to the unfor- <br /> <br />tunate people of Chile; and <br />vlliEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo <br /> <br />has called upon the citizens of this County to join in the relief <br /> <br /> <br />program being carried on locally for the benefit of the Chileans; <br /> <br />NO\v, THEREFORE: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RED'~OOD CITY <br />AS F OLLO\iS : <br /> <br />1.
